Our Lady, the Immaculate Conception, was declared the official patroness of the United States of America 175 years ago by Pope Bl. Pius IX. Honor her protection of our great land by displaying this beautiful canvas image of "Our Lady, Immaculately Conceived," one of the most beautiful depictions of the Blessed Mother, commissioned by the Marian Fathers in 1782.

This beautiful image of Mary Immaculate was commissioned by the Marians of the Immaculate Conception for St. Vito's Church in Rome, formerly under the Marians' care. Artist Francesco Smuglewicz depicts the beautiful Virgin, crowned with stars (9 of the 12 are visible) and attended by angels. Under her foot, she crushes a serpent, choking on the apple, as a reference to Genesis 3:15.
