Beautiful Sleeping St Joseph, 12th Feb 2022

There are several statues of Sleeping St Joseph from which to choose; I think this is the best one. Blessed St Joseph is realistic, reclining in a natural pose on a cloak which may be rendered in the colors of his tribe; his sandals are nearby.
He is YOUNG, as he should be, since he needed to be strong and virile to take his Holy Wife and Son on journeys to Bethlehem, Egypt, and Jerusalem and support the Holy Family with physically demanding work. Best of all, his expression is peaceful, reflecting his trust in God’s love and guidance. Every night I place a petition under his figure, asking him to take my troubles and worries that I may also sleep in peace under the mantle of God’s Love.
